Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Many of our patients are helped by a combination of therapies, and massage therapy is often a part of the process, with hands-on manipulation of the body’s soft tissues we are able to normalize those tissues, favourably influence the circulation of blood and lymph, reduce tension in the muscles and enhance movement in the body.

Massage therapy is based on the science of how the body’s systems work and is found to be effective in the healing process and in the restoration of movement. It can relieve muscle spasms and greatly enhance a patient’s range of motion. It is an excellent therapy for the promotion of deeper and easier breathing and to relieve the stress of chronic pain from conditions or injuries.
